4 lovely ladies joined me this week for a one day workshop making handmade sketchbooks from scratch. It was a great day and the results were very impressive!
We started the session by making marbled paper to cover the books and for the end papers inside. It was messy but a lot of fun. While the designs were drying, we cut the paper to size, folded and stitched the signatures to make a casebound A6 book.
After a spot of lunch and cake (obligatory) (always chocolate fudge cake) we made hard covers and fixed the pages into them.
All materials were provided and we had a lot of fun. To find out more about the next bookbinding class, get in touch!
